Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 October 2026
1. Who we are
The Neala mobile app ("the App") is operated by Meridian Studios sp. z o.o., a company registered in Poland ("Neala", "we", "us", "our"). Contact: hello@neala.co
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. What Neala is, and what it is not
The App provides personalised wellness support for women going through perimenopause and menopause. That includes a profile assessment, meal and workout guidance, habit and symptom tracking, and AI-powered coaching.
Neala is a wellness tool, not a medical service. Nothing in the App is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. The AI coach is an automated tool, not a licensed medical professional. Do not rely on the App to make medical decisions, and always consult a qualified healthcare provider about medical concerns, medication, HRT or supplements.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
3. Who can use Neala
You must be 18 or older to use the App. By using it, you confirm that you are.
4. Your account
You can sign up with your email address and a password, or sign in with Apple or Google. Keep your password safe. If you sign in with Apple or Google, your credentials are managed by that provider under its own terms.
You are responsible for all activity on your account. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us straight away at hello@neala.co.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Try to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or extract source code from the App
- Use the App to send harmful, abusive or fraudulent content
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person
- Try to get around any security, access control or usage limit
We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms without prior notice.
6. Health data and your consent
The App collects health data, including menopause symptoms, mood, sleep, weight and habit information. This is special category data under GDPR, and we process it only with the explicit consent you give during onboarding.
You can withdraw consent and delete your data at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains in full how your data is collected, used and protected.
7. AI coaching
The App uses an AI model to generate coaching responses from your profile, check-ins and habits. These responses are generated automatically, and they are:
- Not reviewed by a person before you see them
- Not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional or psychological advice
- Subject to the limits of AI systems, including the possibility of inaccurate or incomplete answers
You use AI-generated coaching responses at your own discretion and risk.
8. Subscriptions and free trials
Some or all features of the App may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play, on a monthly or yearly plan. The price is shown in the App before you buy.
- Free trial. Where we offer a free trial, it becomes a paid subscription automatically when it ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You are charged through your App Store or Google Play account.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting your Neala account does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds. Apple and Google handle refunds under their own policies. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
If we change prices, we will tell you in advance, and the change will apply from your next renewal.
9. Intellectual property
All content in the App, including meal plans, workout programmes, coaching frameworks, design and text, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law.
We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, distribute or create derivative works from App content without our prior written consent.
10. Service availability
We aim to keep the App available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend access for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control.
We may change, suspend or discontinue the App or any feature. Where reasonably practicable, we will give advance notice of material changes.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the App's fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or reliability.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages
- Loss of data or revenue, or health outcomes
- Decisions made based on App content or AI-generated responses
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
13. Ending your use
You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, and when that happens your right to use the App ends immediately.
Data deletion follows the process in our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will tell you about material changes in the App before they take effect. If you keep using the App after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. The courts of Poland have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, or your right to bring a claim there.
If you are an EU consumer, you can also complain to your local consumer protection authority.
